blog statement

The purpose of my blog (GQ on the EQ) is to provide a general overview of the electronic music and DJ world, including, but not limited to: its music, clubs, clothes, technology, etc. There are a lot of mp3 blogs on the internet (including a few that I posted in the class blog) that focus on the music and are mainly a source for mp3s, but I wanted to do something that focused more on the atmosphere around the music. If you have Limewire or Soulseek you don't need these blogs to get the same music they provide, but you can't get this type of information without scouring dozens of electronic music and DJ sites. Hopefully this will be a sort of hub for DJs and fans to browse while listening to their music. Through the podcast I hope to just provide a link to my DJ mixes, which I already post in facebook and on tmb.dj, but to make it easier for people to keep up with them and also hopefully reach a new audience.
